EU Society members visited the Swiss Embassy in Korea for a special session with the Deputy Head of Mission and embassy staff, who graciously took the time to give members a tour and lead a discussion on the relationship between Korea and Switzerland. The conversation centered on Switzerland's unique position as a country closely tied to Europe while remaining outside the European Union, and explored the role Switzerland plays in regional influence and cooperation despite its non-EU status.

Members learned about the nature of Swiss diplomacy, the country's approach to neutrality, and how it navigates its relationships with both the EU and non-EU partners like Korea. The discussion also touched on the broader importance of regional influence and how countries outside formal EU structures can still shape and engage with European affairs.
